Group A

John W. Winkler did some early etchings of the wharves but was not happy with them. When he came back from Europe in 1928 he again went down to the wharves to explore the world of a real fishing port.

The A and B designate different plates of the same scene. When later plates were found sub-letters were used such as Ab.
